Jorge Alvarez

Jorge Alvarez has been CEO of Retelit since July 7, 2023. A telecommunications engineer by training, he brings over 20 years of international experience in the sector, having held key roles at Nortel Networks, H3G, and Telefonica. He also holds an MBA from Duke University.
Before joining Retelit, he served as an Operating Partner at Asterion Industrial Partners, where he contributed to the integration of Irideos into the group. Under his leadership, Retelit is entering a new phase of consolidation and growth in the Italian ICT market.
Since June 2025, he has also been a member of the General Council of Asstel Assotelecomunicazioni, helping to shape industrial strategies for the national digital ecosystem.
