John Wrottesley
John Wrottesley is Executive Director of the European Subsea Cables Association (ESCA) and General Manager of the International Cable Protection Committee (ICPC). Across both roles he works to bring together the cable industry to represent the interests of the owners and operators of the cables that carry almost all of the world's international data traffic and a growing share of its electricity, working with governments, regulators, conservation bodies and the wider marine community on cable protection, resilience and regulatory reform.
He has spent nearly two decades in the submarine cable industry previously in marine planning, permitting and consenting, managing consents and engagement for installation and repair projects worldwide across telecommunications, energy, renewables and Oil & Gas.
