Glynn Evans is Vice President of International Sales for Blue Planet, a division of Ciena, where he leads the overall Blue Planet sales strategy and operations in the EMEA and APAC regions. As the primary point of engagement between customers and Blue Planet, Glynn and his team are customer-first, consistently advocating for the successful delivery and adoption of Blue Planet solutions. 

With over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT sectors, Glynn has held senior roles across both service provider and vendor organizations. Prior to joining Blue Planet, he was Vice President of Sales & Business Development for Netcracker’s SDN & NFV Practices in Europe. He also served as Senior Director for Ciena’s embryonic software business in EMEA from 2013 to 2016.

Earlier in his career, Glynn spent seven years at Nokia Siemens Networks, leading sales and business development for its BSS software and professional services units in Western Europe and had stints at Nortel Networks and British Telecom.

A former military professional, Glynn has a proven track record of building high‑performing teams that deliver exceptional results on both regional and global stages.
