Gilles Calligaro is a seasoned telecommunications executive with nearly three decades of experience leading network infrastructure, operations, and business development across France’s telecom sector. Since April 2022, he has served as CEO of Arteria, the telecom subsidiary of RTE, where he is driving the expansion and commercialization of one of France’s largest alternative telecom infrastructures, including more than 25,000 km of fiber optic network deployed along the national high-voltage electricity grid. Under his leadership, Arteria has accelerated the development of high-capacity optical networks, mobile infrastructure hosting, and data center connectivity services.

Before joining Arteria, Calligaro held senior leadership roles at COVAGE, where he led major accounts and geomarketing strategy, and spent more than a decade at SFR overseeing large-scale operations, transformation programs, and customer service implementation. Earlier in his career, he managed international operations at Neuf Telecom, including executive responsibilities in Italy, and began his telecom journey with Bouygues Telecom, leading backbone network deployment projects. His expertise spans telecom infrastructure, network operations, strategic transformation, and wholesale connectivity.
