Dawane M. Young

Dawane is the Vice President of Marketing for Verizon’s Partner Solutions organization. He is a 25+ year Telecommunications veteran, having held business development, marketing, operations, and sales management roles.
In Dawane’s current role, he leads the product management organization supporting the Network, Mobility, and Applications & Platform Solutions covering products such as Network as a Service (NaaS), LTE/5G FWA, MEC, IOT, Managed and Professional Services and Security. His team is responsible for identifying key market opportunities, defining commercial models and customer requirements, and driving the development & launch of innovative solutions. Dawane’s team helps to identify emerging sales strategies, technology shifts, and also develops new monetization models.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he received a B.A. degree in Mass Communications from James Madison University in 1996. He continued his educational pursuits at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago in 1998.
In his spare time, Young has participated in youth mentoring and tutoring programs in Atlanta, Chicago and Washington DC. Additionally, he’s volunteered for several years coaching Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball. He is also active in the Verizon Innovative Learning Program participating as a program speaker to minority males interested in technology.
