Panel: What the future could look like with competition-friendly regulation for digital infrastructure

Europe is falling behind on investment in artificial intelligence R&D and service innovation, whilst benefiting from highly developed fibre connectivity in a fragmented market. The challenge is to deliver secure, affordable connectivity infrastructure and services that enable digital transformation and assure global competitiveness. This panel will explore the implications of the proposed Digital Networks Act, emerging AI regulation, public/ private partnerships and collaboration to enhance investment, prioritisation of emerging technologies and effective implementation of workforce reskilling programs.
